Arsenal player Dani Ceballos has stated that he desires to return to Real Madrid when his loan deal lapses at the Emirates. He remains focused on Arsenal as the season restarts until his deal is done but he is hoping to return.

The 23-year old joined the Premier League side on a season-long loan and started well under Unai Emery. He picked up an injury that sidelined him, having to wait when Mikel Arteta took over. Ceballos says he has related well with the former Manchester City assistant coach since his arrival. He thanked Arteta for the confidence in him and giving him opportunities as he worked hard post injury.
He remains hopeful that Arsenal can end the season on the best note and achieve their goal for the season. However, for him after the season he wants to return to his parent club Real Madrid.
There seem to be a mismatch between Ceballos style of play and the way the Premier League prefers fast paced football. Former Arsenal player Philipe Senderos told Marca that while the switch would not be easy, Arteta remains the best coach to help Ceballos.
Ceballos prefers technical midfield play, dictating the game from the middle, rather than the physical, fast paced English football. He said he has not spoken to Coach Zinedine Zidane yet but he is keen to return to Madrid. This would halt rumours that the Gunners are hoping to sign Ceballos for under 40 million pounds this summer. It remains unlikely Zizou will utilize Ceballos at the Bernabeu, so the Spaniard is likely to go on another loan deal in Spain or Italy.
